Gravity Light

Many people see technology projects for under developed countries as a waste of time because it does not affect them here, but I look at the technology improvements as improvements for everyone. In the case of the following project Gravity Light, this would be a benefit to anyone that is currently battling the long lasting effects of hurricane Sandy and many other storms in the west, midwest , and the east coast. Take a look.

A realistic alternative to Kerosene lamps.

There are currently over 1.5 billion people in the World who have no reliable access to mains electricity. These people rely, instead, on biomass fuels (mostly kerosene) for lighting once the sun goes down. We propose a sustainable lighting solution powered by gravity.
